Saw this map and I thought it would be a good addition to the server. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=124463722
Mind stating why rather than just flat-out giving it a -1? Some reasons you feel that it shouldn't be added, or any FPS issues if there are any present for the map?
It was too big. But, unless they changed it from the original version of ttt_bb_outpost57 to ttt_bb_outpost57_b5 to add more features as well as reduce the size of the map it could possibly be a +1 from me.
Its a big map, but it is really open so I think it kind of balances it out. A lot of the bigger maps that are suggested get denied because they are full of clutter and are indoor maps so people could spend the whole round going in circles and not find the last few people. With this map being mainly outdoors with a few indoors areas, it would be easy enough to at least spot people and know where they are heading and if they are camped in a building, the traitors are able to find them easily enough with a radar. I would love to see this map added because we have several maps for sniping, but most of the sniping is done vertically. This map will have a lot of long range, horizontal sniping.
Just curious of how would I go about testing maps? I know that we have to download from the workshop, but then what? :3
Start the map like you normally would, but instead of launching it as single player, select the number of players in the green dropdown menu, and then check the box for local server. Then once the map loads, pull up the console and type these commands: sv_cheats 1 and bot_zombie 1. Then type bot each time for however many you want to add. This will allow you to test the maps locally on your own computer with stationary bots.
