Taking a computer science class this semester.

Actually, Java is the AP and entry level college standard. Most of the people I talk to following that route say they don't touch C until 3rd year.

 

That's weird because I did AP in high school and then for intro programming learned C++. Because you don't have to do OOP, it's easier to learn and then translation. YMMV

 

Yeah. My AP CS Exam was Java.

 

Well im on my first year (College) and im dealing with C first then on the next sem, Java. and so on.

I learned C my first semester of college and then c++ my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semesters. I learned Java in high school. I'm currently just starting my 5th semester of college unfortunately with no coding classes.

 

That is so strange. I guess it really depends on the college.

 

I'm taking Computer Programming next semester, don't know what to expect, haha. Good luck!
