The map minecraft_mythic often gets "stuck" where the round is unable to start until an admin gets on to switch it. The reason for this I do not know, but it is a problem. When this happens players start to leave the server and it decreases in population. Multiple issues arise with this map being in the rotation, players with 200 karma or less don't seem to be karma banned sometimes. Other times spectators are allowed to play. Many things that I don't know the reason to happen, it's like a mystery with no answer but desperately needs one. I enjoy playing on the map, it's great however the server being "stuck" and regular players being unable to play is a major problem. This along with the occasional upsets it has. I would recommend a fix or removal. Opinions? Thoughts? @Highwon @Yawn. @Cee @Zikeji
After all the work Books *cough* I mean Yawn and Highwon put into the map, I would really hate to see it removed; I would much prefer to see the bugs Identified and fixed, which I'm sure they can do.
My apologies to @TeeZ and @Bayleon in the uncertainty I had in their claims, on the thread that they made. That of course assuming that this is the very only single map this issue has occurred on. I've been level designing in Source for ten years now, and it still amazes me what fuck-ups it can create. Here's an example. An old RP map I was working on, at the time. It decided to render the entire world twice to the client, only with one version in the sky. Not a single error in the entire compile, run-time, or anything. It's just something it decided to continue doing. If this is indeed the case, I simply recommend we remove the map entirely. @Highwon Chances are it's not an issue within the map itself, and it's just Source being Source. I only put roughly six hours into that map anyways, and most of it was optimizing. (Just to be clear, six hours is nothing in the mapping world. I have two maps that I've been working on for over six months, though on-and-off of course.)
Any information on this issue would be nice. If you notice anything happening before this occurs, please let us know!
