Well we are all here obviously because we enjoy gaming to some extent, but what game originated that desire. For me I never really got absorbed into gaming until I played Air Combat with my dad, then he bought me Megaman Legends and CastlevaniaOTN. Those are both game I will still play to this day and have a blast doing it.
SNES Mario and N64 Mario. Then Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racinnf, and Smash Bros on N64. But I guess I wasn't officially hooked until Command and Conquer Red Alert on PC. Oh an original Pokemon Yellow and Red
I cannot recall one specific game that got me into gaming but here are a few that I considered to have brought me into this hobby: -Super Smash Brothers Melee -Super Mario Sunshine -Pokemon Diamond & Pearl -Mario Party Series -Mario Kart 64 -Super Mario 64 -Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic Adventure 1-2
I got into gaming pretty much when I was around the ages 4-7, so I can't remember exactly which of these games got me into it, but I love these games so much I can replay them forever Entire Sims Series Crash Bandicoot 2: N-tranced Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Silent Hill 2 Tony Hawk's Underground
When I was 3, I started playing flash games on the internet with my dad. When I was 5, I got a Playstation 2 with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy and Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. Two games that I currently speedrun (well, I plan on learning Jak)!
The games I can remember like an elephant. Tekken 3 and Tag Tournament 2 Street Fighter 3 Red Faction 2 Newspaper Boy on a PS2 demo CD (I bet no one knew that) Metal Gear Solid 2 demo on PS1 and 4 on PS3 Half Life, HL Source, HL2 (Big fan of the HL series) CSS Zombie Servers RED ALERT 2 AND AGE OF EMPIRES 2!!! Learned how to play all of these kindergarten - 4/5th grade. Screw tutorials. I learn through trial and error.
i dont count old nintendo games i played when i was 4 because they didnt really inspire me to get into gaming, rather i just had some fun with them first game that i really liked was some weird water skiing game that I had tons of fun with my friend on his 1st gen xbox, which inspired me to get my own xbox and my first game, Halo CE it's been downhill ever since
I remember playing Crash Bandicoot a lot when I was little (yes, the first one), but what game I really, really wanted to play when I was younger and made me yearn to play other games more, was Final Fantasy VII. Also, Aidyn's Chronicles and Quest 64 for the N64.
well the game to got me into gaming was World Of Warcraft and Maplestory I don't play WoW anymore and I still Play Maplestory Dad Side of family Plays Games and i enjoy playing with them still
Kind of odd that we could only pick one genre. I played games ever since I was a kid with an SNES, Gameboy, so I would have to say the majority of my games came from action/adventure/RPG games.
Good old Pokemon Mystery Dungeons Red for the GBA, that's what got me into gaming. I went from that to a NDS to an XBox to my PC.
My first game ever was Excitebike. But I didn't really get *into* gaming with proper neckbearded obsession until Final Fantasy 1.
My first game that got me hooked into gaming was Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The only game I played several times through and through and never got sick of. The only game that gives me a strong sense of nostalgia and reminds me of my childhood whenever I pick up the game cartridge or check out the game on my 3DS and Wii. Oh yeah, the only game that I would buy several times over as I grew older. Whether it would be the GameCube port, the Nintendo Wii virtual console remake, or the 3DS remake/remaster.
Excitebike, Snake Rattle N' Roll, GUERRILLA WAR, Duck Hunt and the Mario series began my life of gaming. There have been many games along the way throughout the progression of systems and games. Sega Genesis after nintendo it would be Sonic. That ruled my life from 1-3 for a long time. Mortal Kombat, Golden Axe and Lion King aswell. For the N64 system Mario Party, Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, Goldeneye 007, Mario. Playstation 1 lasted a long time with Final Fantasy Tactics, FF7, FF8, FF9, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Resident Evil.
