Hello Community, I am here to propose a change to the Vanilla map rotations. That change would be removing Jondome until it is fixed. Currently, players are able to exploit outside of the map, RDM with a T tester, RDM with the Diamond sword, get confused about the T room, and get stuck inside the jail cell with the secret hatch. This map is full of flaws that have been plaguing the map since day one. Recently, a map wasn't added to the rotation simply for one reason; you could see through underwater. That map had that single issue; not multiple like Jondome. Honestly, it's a decent map, but with multiple ways for people to RDM, exploit, and troll, it's no good. So, I am asking, once and for all, remove this map until it is fixed. Maybe we could replace it with one of the following: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=536938995&searchtext= http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=538202001&searchtext=minecraft
I like the map. Only problem is that I've almost been banned 3 times for mass rdm on that damn map. Be it the diamond sword, broken T room and tester or other neglected bugs in the map... it's quite broken.
I've said it before, I'll say it again, this map is an abomination. I'd rather have one less option at map change than having this map in rotation. It's a nightmare for staff, it's a nightmare for players, really it just a nightmare. It needs to go.
I think the community has been very vocal about the removing of jondome recently in my experience, I believe we will see change soon. +1
Remove it completely. Get it out. This map causes so many problems you feel bad for playing the game and not watching that damn sword the whole time. I don't think Staff Members should have to feel like they need to spectate the whole duration of a map change.
You know it's bad when my very first objective on every round of the map is to get at least one of the damn diamonds or the wood outside the map. Please, just get that abomination out of my sight and never let it return until it somehow gets a much-needed fix. Also, anyone remember Tundra? I remember having to explain to so many people that the T room wasn't a T room since you could just hit the door with a crowbar and it would open. This is basically the same situation, just much, MUCH worse due to even more glitches and the addition RDMing options.
I like the idea of the map but there's so many problems with it I'd rather just not have it. Definitely would like a working replacement though. Vanilla could get a bit stale with just 5 maps. tbt to when vanilla only had 2
I will speak with @Highwon and @Disruptionz about this. We've been hearing concerns across the board, and we'll see what we will do.
I agree with this. That is why I rated it agree. Agreed As much as I like Jondome, its not worth it when considering all the negatives of the map
This map is the worst fucking map ever. It's so damn broken and I don't know why we even have it in the rotation. It makes no sense and it upsets me so much that we do. I'm not staff anymore but when I was it was a pain cause the T room isn't even a T room. Don't get me started on the sword and the amount of times people have died to this. It's a pain to constantly watch it cause I know there are some people who make it as soon as the round starts. It's overall just bad and I understand if we need to find a replacement but I'd rather have less maps than have this one in the rotation. I like the idea of adding new maps and honestly if this map didn't have some thing in it then it would actually be a decent map. I appreciate that you guys take the time to test maps and add them to the rotation for us to enjoy but this one was just really bad. Please remove this map and I would appreciate it if it was removed.
I'll hop in as well and say that I think the map should be off the rotation. It's difficult to staff due to all the different issues and special exceptions that you have to consider. And that probably affects players negatively as well, as there's more unique rules you have to pay attention to, and a lot of 'broken' things that can negatively affect gameplay in general.
