Why is it that when people like me, women who's voices don't really match the part too well, get harassed for using our mic and nothing tends to get done about it? Even when multiple people do

As this is something I have experienced twice today, and no longer feel welcome to the server and nothing's being done about it, I'd like some insight.

Have you informed the staff member online that you feel this way? Sometimes they might be preoccupied.

The best course of action would be to inform the current staff online and im sure they'll be on to it.

As what the others on this post have said is a way to make sure harassment goes unnoticed but if no staff member is on you should gather as much evidence as you can about this harassment and if it continues report the said player here on the forum or in shoutbox ask for a mod or admin to come on due you being harassed.

Most of the staff members are busy dealing with reports in game, so they're usually not going to hear/see harassment. The easiest thing to do is alert the mod that someone is harassing you, and maybe provide screenshots (f5) then upload to steam.

If it still goes unnoticed and nothing is done after bringing it to the mods attention (after you've told him a few times) then go ahead and make a report on the forums.

While Female Players can have it a bit rough, much like the younger users on our servers, the best way to ensure a Staff member knows you are being harassed and its not Banter is to inform the staff about it.

If the staff member does not reply, nor speak up, as the moment you inform them or say it is harassment or give distress to the situation it can be believed it is harassment, you can file a forum report. As with any report, be sure to include any evidence about your contact with the player whom is harassing you and evidence of the attempted and actual conversation with staff. Use record for demos or other capture software to solidify your case if needed.

No one likes to be harassed. We definitely don't want you to feel discouraged from playing on our servers or any player for that matter to feel this way.
