I've played on another server and they had this really cool betting system. Once you die, you do !Bet and bet a certain amount of points (I think it was up to like 300 or something) on either T or Inno. So if you bet 300 on T, you earn 300 points, but, if they lose, you lose the 300. It'd be great for this server because therere are a lot of good players.

-1 because it has the chances of getting players over-saturated with points. All it would take is to watch the game until it's like one traitor against like ten innocents or vice versa; easy money.

The only way I like the idea of a betting system is on FFA game-play, such as fun rounds; it's a level playing field.

I forgot to mention, when I was playing on a betting server, after a while it won't let you bet because too much time has been gone already. So say there is 1 T and 10 innos, it wont let you bet anymore. That's how it was when I played, if you tried to do !bet it would say "No betting now, too late" or something along those lines.

So the players that stayed alive longer had an advantage. It sounds pretty lopsided.

I have seen systems where you bet before round starts, so it is completely random, and it has worked out well and is easy to implement. I suggest this be added. Also, it had a max bet of 1000 points, so no one could profit too much off of it

Honestly, Burrito Bandito and I have been casually betting on Innos or T's every other round. We started doing this a while back, and I've realized the popular interest in betting has rapidly grown on our servers. Of course gambling can be seen as addictive and a "problem." That doesn't however counter the fact that it is over-all enjoyable.

My thoughts on a "betting system:"

No. Burrito and I have been betting without a system, and have managed to use our own integrity to send each other X amount of points to the winner. I believe that a betting system 'locks" players in to something they will highly regret later. Even if it is only fun rounds, how can we compensate for those who not only lose the fun round, but also the points they just laid down on the table? Highwon has mentioned he does not want new players to feel intimidated and too far behind. This is a system that sub-consciously benefits veterans and hardly helps the new guy. Granted, there is hardly any points being waged, but that still doesn't convince me that it'll be useful for all players as a whole and community.

It is my ultimate belief that by allowing just casual gambling, and allowing the players to choose weather or not to send the points (when they lose) is what builds stronger bonds and a huge understanding of integrity.

    Just my 2 cents,
